DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS BERTHS
The top 3 ranked teams in each division will advance to the playoffs. The highest ranked team in each division will be given automatic 1st-round byes.
DIVISIONAL TIE BREAKERS
a. Head-to-head record between tied team(s)
b. Divisional record
c. Head-to-head margin of victory (not to exceed 11points per game) between tied team(s)
d. Cumulative margin of victory over entire season (not to exceed 11points per game)
PLAYOFFS
All playoff teams will be seeded based on overall record during the regular season. All 6 playoff teams will receive a 1 to 6 ranking. Aside from the 2 teams with byes in the first round, the highest seed will play the lowest seed, and the other 2 teams will play each other. After the first round, the highest remaining seed will again play the lowest remaining seed, with the other 2 teams playing each other.
Although the division winners will receive first-round byes, they will not necessarily have top seeding throughout the playoffs. Since seeds are determined based on overall record (not necessarily division ranking), a team could win their division but not be one of the highest remaining seeds after the first round of the playoffs. For example, if the teams with the two best records in the regular season are in the same division, they will get the 1 and 2 seeds but only the 1 seed will get a first-round bye. The winner of the other division will get a first-round bye. If they are a 3 seed they could go up against the 2 seed in the 2nd round.
PLAYOFF RANKING TIE BREAKERS
a. Head-to-head record between tied team(s)
b. Head-to-head margin of victory (not to exceed 11points per game) between tied team(s)
c. Cumulative margin of victory over entire season (not to exceed 11points per game)
